A Fantastic Celebration of Reading at Our Whole‑School Readathon for World Book Day
We are delighted to share the outstanding success of our recent Readathon Day, which brought together students and staff from across the school in a vibrant celebration of reading.
Throughout the day, the library welcomed 103 students from all year groups, who collectively read an impressive 3,600 pages. The enthusiasm, focus and positivity shown by everyone involved truly highlighted our commitment to fostering a strong reading culture and demonstrated that #ReadersAreLeaders.
A heartfelt thank‑you goes to the 20 members of staff who generously gave their time to model positive reading habits and help create such a warm, encouraging atmosphere in the library. Their support played a key role in making the day such a memorable occasion.
Leaderboard Results
First Places: Year 8 and Lancelot House
We extend our congratulations to Year 8 and Lancelot, who topped the leader board through consistent participation and impressive page totals.
We would also like to give special recognition to Year 7, the only year group to have a student reading continuously from 8:30am to 3:00pm, including break and lunch. This level of dedication is truly remarkable and reflects a deep love of reading.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the Readathon such a wonderful celebration of literacy. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to promote a love of reading throughout the school community.
