Admissions Consultation

Dear Parents, Carers and Stakeholders,

Sherborne Area Schools’ Trust is the admissions authority for all schools within the Trust.  Under section 1.42 of the Schools Admission Code 2014, SAST schools are obliged to consult with parents, carers and other stakeholders about the content of its Admissions Policy, irrespective of the policy being changed, at least every seven years.  This consultation must be for a minimum period of 6 weeks and should take place between 1 October and 31 January.

There have been no substantial changes to the Admissions Policy since the last consultation in December 2018 in terms of criteria for entry.  However, we have added to the list of SAST schools as we have had new schools join in 2019 and we have also listed the feeder schools for The Gryphon School, Sherborne and King Arthurs School, Wincanton for information.

With regard to the changes described above, you are respectfully invited to review this updated 2021/22 policy and provide any comments directly to the Trust by email or by post to the following address by 17th January 2019:
