KA hosts the over 70’s Community Party
On Sunday 1st December, King Arthur’s hosted the Wincanton Town Councils’ Over 70’s Community Party. Over one hundred Christmas lunches were served by our Year 11 students who also decorated the hall, and the King Arthur’s staff kindly worked hard to prepare the food. This was a fantastic experience for all involved and one we would look to continue in the future.
Muriel Cairns who helps to organise the Wincanton Over 70s Christmas Lunch wrote to us and said:
I would like to thank King Arthurs’ School for hosting the Wincanton Over 70s Christmas Lunch on Sunday 1st December 2019.
Can you please pass on my sincere thanks to the Head, staff and helpers who prepared, cooked and plated the Christmas Lunch.
I would also like to thank Mr Dolling and the Year 11 pupils who took time out on Saturday to prepare the hall for the event, and to all the Year 11 pupils who served the lunches to our guests, under the supervision of Mr Dolling, they all did a fantastic job.
Can you also thank the piano player who entertained the guests as they arrived.
Finally many thanks to yourself for all your hard work and help which enabled the event to run smoothly and enjoyed by ninety four residents who attended the event and had a great day.
Hosting the event at King Arthurs’ School and involving the pupils turned the Wincanton Over 70s Christmas Lunch into a great community event, to which we look forward to working with you again next year.
