KS4 French and German

• In the main curriculum we offer French and German.
• In the past we have offered self supported French, German, Spanish and Italian for students who already have background knowledge of the languages and who are also very committed and prepared to work independently.

 

What is the MFL GCSE like?

• Two year course – Edexcel.
• All four language skills assessed: speaking (30%), reading (20%), listening (20%) and writing (30%).
• Speaking and writing are assessed continuously throughout the two year course via teacher assessed tasks.
• Listening and reading are assessed via final exam.
• Foundation and higher tiers of entry.
